Team member Alvaro del Campo describes the fun (and frustrations) of cutting trails and establishing campsites for the scientific teams use during the expedition. This is the first installment in a ten-part series of video reports documenting The Field Museums expedition to the Amazon lowlands.

The Museums Rapid Inventory Program brings together biological and social information to create a roadmap for practical, long-lasting, and locally-supported conservation. During October of 2008, the Museums international team of scientists led by Dr. Corine Vriesendorp surveyed the Cuyabeno-Güeppí region of the Amazon Basin, which sits at the corner where Ecuador, Peru, and Colombia meet.
